Build to Bridge Vision

Welcome to the Build to Bridge Capital Campaign site!

In February 2008, we will embark on the greatest spiritual and financial goal of our church’s history–and shrinking back is not an option. God has given us a pressing vision to build bridges into the family, community, and world. There is no doubt in my mind that this piece of land will be our home base, our launching pad to see our vision exponentially grow.

I keep coming back to the story of Joshua possessing the land that God had given the children of Israel. In Joshua 1, the Israelites are camped along the east bank of the Jordan River at the very edge of the Promised Land, and Moses had recently died. Joshua was now the one God called to lead His people into the land that He provided for them. Look at God’s encouragement in verse 9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” And then they all obeyed and took possession of the land that God provided for them.

There is no question in my mind that this is the land that God has provided for us, our Promised Land…and we are to take it. This is a God deal and I am asking you to join me and the leadership of this church to pray, plan and respond. We have an opportunity to be a group of pioneers that equally sacrifices in the “here and now” so that this and future generations will be impacted for all of eternity. How fulfilling will it be for us to look back and know that our decision counted significantly for generations to come? Let’s be like Joshua, strong and courageous, and possess the land…together.
