Welcome to the Build to Bridge Capital Campaign site!
I keep coming back to the story of Joshua possessing the land that God had given the children of Israel. In Joshua 1, the Israelites are camped along the east bank of the Jordan River at the very edge of the Promised Land, and Moses had recently died. Joshua was now the one God called to lead His people into the land that He provided for them. Look at God’s encouragement in verse 9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” And then they all obeyed and took possession of the land that God provided for them.
I’m so thankful that God has provided this land for us, our Promised Land… and we have taken it. Thank you for joining me and the leadership of this church in praying, planning and responding. We are taking responsibility for being a group of pioneers that equally sacrifices in the “here and now” so that this and future generations will be impacted for all of eternity. How fulfilling will it be for us to look back and know that our decision counted significantly for generations to come? We’ve followed Joshua’s example to be strong, courageous, and possess the land… together.
